When Your Cycle Stops Feeling Predictable

Many women come in because something changed.

Their period became heavier, more painful, more emotional…
or their body simply stopped feeling steady month to month.

Sometimes this begins after years of normal cycles.
Sometimes it begins in the late 30s or 40s and doesn’t make sense yet.

This work focuses on helping the pelvis regain circulation, mobility, and calm so the body can regulate again.

You may notice:

• Periods that are painful, heavy, or exhausting

• Cycles becoming irregular or unpredictable
• PMS, anxiety, or mood shifts that feel new
• Pelvic pressure or bloating before bleeding
• Waking at night or temperature changes around your cycle
• Being told everything looks “normal,” but you feel different
• Your body reacting more strongly than it used to

Your body is not working against you , it’s often responding to pressure and restriction.

Why this happens

The uterus and ovaries rely on movement and blood flow.

Over time, tension, inflammation, scar tissue, posture, and stress can reduce space in the pelvis.
When circulation changes, the body compensates.

Cycles may become more intense.
Hormones fluctuate more noticeably.
The nervous system becomes easier to trigger.

This is especially common during perimenopause, when the body has less tolerance for restriction than it once did.

How abdominal therapy helps

I use Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Therapy — a gentle external technique that works with the abdomen, sacrum, and surrounding tissues.

The goal is simple:
restore movement and circulation so the body can regulate naturally.

As the pelvis regains space, many women notice:

• Less cramping
• More predictable bleeding
• Reduced pelvic pressure
• Improved sleep around their cycle
• A calmer nervous system response

This work commonly supports

Painful or heavy periods
Irregular cycles
Perimenopause symptoms
Endometriosis & PCOS patterns
Fibroids & cyst discomfort
Pelvic pressure or prolapse
Digestive bloating around the cycle
Chronic irritation or recurring infections
Recovery after birth or surgery

What happens in a session

Your first visit is unhurried and fully explained.

We will:
• Review your cycle history
• Perform gentle external abdominal therapy
• Work the lower back and sacrum
• Teach simple home care
• Decide on a treatment plan together

All work is external and respectful. There is no internal treatment.

Follow-up sessions continue supporting circulation and regulation.
Additional support therapies may be included when appropriate.

You don’t have to wait for menopause for things to settle.

Many women simply need the body to be supported differently than before.
